Congratulations to our talented Year 3 and 4 boys and girls who represented OLA at the Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day at Jamison Park! Despite the icy wind and chilly temperatures, all students showed great skill, teamwork, and determination. - OLA White finished 4th in their pool – a fantastic achievement! - OLA Aqua went undefeated across 8 games and only conceded 1 goal, finishing 3rd in their pool. - OLA Blue finished 4th in their pool, with only 2 losses and 2 goals conceded all day. - OLA Girls also finished 4th in their pool, only losing 1 game—amazing effort! A huge thank you to Mr Martino, Mr Borgiani, Mr Cauchi and Mrs Brown for volunteering to coach and manage teams. We are so grateful to have such committed parents! Thanks also to Miss Marchant, Mrs Boatfield, and Miss Grace for joining Mr Cauchi in supervising and cheering on our teams. Finally, thank you to the many parents who transported and supported our students throughout the day. Your encouragement and positivity made the cold day so much warmer!

Our Kindergarten students recently brought in objects from home to help them learn about 3D shapes. They had a great time identifying spheres, cubes, cones, and cylinders, and discussing their features. What a fun and hands-on way to connect learning to the real world! Well done, Kindy!

Scientists at work- Kindergarten had lots of fun exploring different materials in Science these past few weeks! This week they investigated their own toys to discover what they are made from—like plastic, metal, fabric, and wood—and discussed why certain materials are used. A great hands-on way to build their understanding of the world around them!

Year 4 had a fantastic time learning about volume (internal capacity) by measuring and comparing different containers using water. It was a great way to make learning practical and fun—plus, they loved soaking up the sunshine while they worked! Great job, Year 4!

Our Year 6 students have been busy designing and creating incredible projects as part of their Science unit on forces. They explored how push, pull, gravity, and friction work in real-life designs. It was wonderful to see their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in action. Well done, Year 6 – future engineers in the making!
