This week, our Kindergarten students took part in a thoughtful gallery walk focused on the Scripture of “The Annunciation.” Through quiet reflection and guided discussion, they explored how God is present in our world and in our everyday lives. It was a gentle and meaningful way to help our youngest learners connect faith with their understanding of the world around them!

Year 3 had a fantastic day out at Penrith Lakes on Friday, exploring the natural environment as part of their Science learning. Students took part in hands-on activities that helped them understand how science can answer important questions about the health of plants, animals, and ecosystems. They also discovered how this knowledge helps people make better decisions and solve real-world problems- especially when it comes to caring for our environment. Thank you to our Year 3 teachers for organising it, and the many parent helpers who assisted on the day. It was a great mix of learning, curiosity, and outdoor fun!

We had a huge week last week at OLA with so many exciting events taking place. On Wednesday, we welcomed our future Kindergarten 2026 students and their families for their first orientation. It was great to see everyone exploring the classrooms, meeting teachers, and getting a feel for the school environment. We’re looking forward to supporting these children's learning journeys throughout their time at our school as they become part of our OLA family, and can't wait to see them again for another visit on Tuesday!

Today, our Year 5 students led a moving Remembrance Day liturgy, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country in times of war and peace. With reverence, they guided our school community through prayer, reflection, and remembrance- reminding us all of the importance of peace, gratitude, and unity. “At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.” Lest we forget.
