Ben, Elise, Kristian, Angelina and Jordan digging into a home made 'Minty Yoghurt Dip'.
Stage Three participated in Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day.
This day is about cooking good food from scratch, knowing what’s in your food and eating better so we’re happy and healthy.
At the beginning of our day, we made origami books to record our learning for the day. We created our own logos to promote the message of being ‘food smart.’
Then our cooking fun started. We made pasta from scratch with Mrs La Rocca, as well as two sauces to go with it: tomato sauce and basil pesto. There was a delicious minty yoghurt dip to be made with Ms Love, which we ate with produce we grew at home. We also had a nice dessert to finish off with – French toast with caramelised bananas.

It was a great day to find out new recipes and try foods some of us hadn’t eaten before. The message of being food smart certainly came across and many students cooked for their families over the weekend.
We had a fantastic day and hope to participate in Food Revolution Day again.

From our OLA family to yours, we wish you a wonderful Christmas surrounded by loved ones. May your days be full of health, happiness, and Christ’s blessings, and may the spirit of the season carry you into the new year with hope and peace. To all of our students, families, and friends- thank you for being part of our story. The OLA staff love and appreciate you all, and we look forward to another year together in 2026!18 Dec 2025

Last night marked the final chapter of our Year 6 students’ primary school journey as we celebrated their Graduation Mass. Together we prayed and gave thanks for the guidance of their parents, OLA staff, and God throughout their seven years at primary school. We also acknowledged the achievements of students who received special awards, before finishing with a touching moment- our Year 6 students forming a guard of honour for their parents. Thank you to the Year 6 teachers, Miss Grima, and all the staff involved in this special celebration. We wish our graduates many more days filled with faith, fun, and learning as they begin their high school adventure.
