Year 5 teachers as crayons
Another fabulous Book Week celebration at OLA.
It was fantastic to see the students having a fabulous time dressing up as their favourite book character.
OLA was a sea of costumes ranging from Superman, Dorothy, Matilda, Thing 1 and 2 and many more characters for our Escape to Everywhere theme.
A huge thank you to the families who attended our parade, Rug Reading and our Book Fair. The displays in our library were a marvellous way to celebrate the shortlisted picture books and a chance to see our wonderful new library.
Thank you to the staff for supporting and promoting our Book Week celebrations. It was great to see staff dressing up as their favourite book character. To Mrs Wagner, Mrs Hunt, Mrs Goldsworthy and the teachers who worked tirelessly to set up our Book Fair.
Thank You!

Today, we gathered for a beautiful, belated liturgy, to honour our incredible teachers for last week’s World Teachers' Day. At OLA, our teachers are the puzzle pieces that make a difference- each one essential, unique, and making a lasting impact in the lives of our students. We loved celebrating them with awards written by the students themselves and a special keepsake featuring student fingerprints that was a touching reminder of the personal impact our teachers make every single day. Thank you to our amazing educators at OLA,- you are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated!03 Nov 2025
