During Term 3, Year 3 have been studying the HSIE unit ‘Who Will Buy’.
Weeks were spent researching and identifying the roles of producers, consumers and the influence of advertisements. At the beginning of September, students walked to Rouse Hill Town Centre in preparation for our Market Day on the following Thursday.
This gave them the opportunity to become the producers of delicious treats and hold their own shop front. It was a complete success, selling out of all products. It was a wonderful way to end our unit, sharing our learning with the whole school.

Last week our Year 6 FIAT team had a wonderful day at Nagle College for LIFTED Jnr, a diocesan faith‑formation experience run by Catholic Youth Parramatta. With the theme “Finding Purpose with Pentecost”, guest speaker Lou Daniels invited students to reflect on two big questions: What is our purpose? and How does the Holy Spirit help us live it out? Through singing, dancing, prayer, and rich discussion, our students showed maturity, enthusiasm, and a genuine openness to faith and leadership. They represented our school with pride and kindness. A warm thank you to our parents for supporting transport and making this valuable experience possible. Thank you also to Mrs Hodgess and Mrs Aspinal for accompanying our students.

On Friday, we gathered as a community to honour and celebrate our OLA mums. Year 1 led a beautiful liturgy and prayer, reminding us of the gift of motherhood. Our assembly that followed was filled with heartfelt performances- joyful songs, our Senior Dance Group, a moving Year 3 item inspired by Billy Joel, an Irish blessing for our mums, the choir, and the students performing the Nutbush! Thank you, Mr Lee, for coordinating this celebration for us. Thank you to our wonderful teachers for preparing students and welcoming families into classrooms, to our P&F for the lovely morning tea, and to all who joined us. May God bless all our OLA mums for the love they give so generously.
