Zac, Natasha, Nicholas, Ashton and Jasmyn created a shelter for humans.
OLA students in Year 4 went to Lane Cove National Park to support the current geography unit under study.
Through participating in a range of activities, we learnt a lot about plants and native Australian animals (flora and fauna). These activities included bug hunts and building a mini aboriginal or animal’s habitat or a national park.
We went on lots of walks and by the end of the day we were very tired. On the bus ride back to school lots of us had our eyes closed and were asleep. We had an exciting day and learnt a lot.

Sienna, Jackson, Zac, Austin, Alisa and Lara created an environment for a possum.
Afterwards, there was some time on the play equipment which was a lot of fun. Thanks go to teachers Mrs Cannavo and Miss Grima, the parent helpers, Wendy and Nicole our tour guides.

Zac, Brianna and Pierre-Antoine enjoying some free time after the excursion.

Today, on Good Friday, we pause to remember the incredible love and sacrifice shown by Jesus on the cross. This day invites us to slow down, reflect, and hold onto the hope, forgiveness, and faith that Good Friday reminds us of. As we think about the meaning of the cross, may we find a sense of peace and gratitude in our hearts. Wishing our OLA community a blessed and meaningful Good Friday.02 Apr 2026

This week, our K–6 students took part in a beautiful and reverent Holy Week Reflection. Each class helped bring the story of Jesus’ final days to life through prayer, scripture, and quiet reflection. A big thank you to the families who came along and shared this moment with us.
