10 year old boys prior to their race.
OLA held its Primary Cross Country at Russell Reserve. It was great to see all the children dressed to support their house colour and the captains ready to lead their house in the cheering.
There was evidence of good sportsmanship on the day, especially encouragement for the runners on the track. We were very lucky with the weather, as the rain held off until all the children were back at school.
I would like to thank all the teachers for their support and assistance on the day to help the Cross Country run smoothly. Once again thank you to all the parents willing to assist on these days. Without volunteers, it is really hard to organize sporting events so I appreciate all the parents who helped on the track and came to cheer on the children. The first 6 runners in each age group in boys and girls are eligible to attend the Diocesan Cross Country held at Eastern Creek next term.
I would like to congratulate the following children, who will represent Our Lady of Angels at the Diocesan Cross Country.
Sebastian M, Zane B, Isaac S, Marc S, Cody T, Thomas L, Natasha E, Ailbhe G, Olivia H, Jasmyn R, Shanae M, Alana L, Jesse E, Rory M, Marc Z, Lucas L, Anthony C, Cooper B, Seronique T, Jade R, Claudia C, Montana B, Daniella L, Amelia D, Ashton S, William A, Javier S, Jai T, Blake T, Nicholas S, Ella S, Emily O, Isabelle D, Elise E, Kalani N, Nicholas C, Domenico L, Jordan V, Sebastian C, Alex B, Michael B, Patricia C, Jordyn E, Angelina C, Ana B and Ivana K.

As part of our Religion unit, "Why are people hungry?" the Year 4 students participated in a sandwich-making activity. The purpose of this activity was to share a meal as a grade from the making (breaking), to the eating. We reflected on the Eucharist and how it nourishes not only physically but spiritually.22 Feb 2026

Recently, our Year 4 students worked in small groups to collaborate on creating our grade's morning prayer. Students had previously written elements, and each had a voice in selecting which parts they wanted to be a part of the final prayer.
