OLA students gather to pray the Rosary.
On Monday, 13th October, the students of Our Lady of the Rosary celebrated Rosary Day.
All the school children, staff and some parents gathered in the shape of Rosary beads and prayed the Glorious Mysteries together. Each child received their own set of Rosary beads which were blessed by Fr Joby.
Our thanks go to Mr Baker for organising this day and to Fr Joby for leading us in prayer together. Remember to pray each day to God and Blessed Mary our Mother, in particular the Rosary, for your special intentions and God will provide.

Today, KB and 4B enjoyed a well-deserved pizza party as a reward for being the Infant and Primary classes with the highest participation in the Premier’s Reading Challenge! A huge thank you to Mrs Kennedy and Mrs Wagner for their hard work in coordinating the PRC each year and for organising this delicious treat for our students. Throughout October, our FIAT students will take on a special leadership role by guiding each grade in a decade of the Rosary. This meaningful tradition provides an opportunity for our students to come together in prayer and deepen their faith during the Month of the Rosary.

Celebrating 40 years of Voice of Youth and the power of student voice
Six Year 6 students from 58 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Primary schools came together at St John XXIII Catholic College Stanhope Gardens on 22 September for the Voice of Youth Grand Final, showcasing their public speaking skills through a series of thoughtful and engaging speeches.

After a few weather delays, our Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day finally went ahead last Tuesday! Two boys’ and two girls’ teams played seven fast‑paced games each, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship. A special shout‑out to our OLA Girls Teal team, who went undefeated all day without conceding a single goal- finishing second in their pool after a couple of nil‑all draws. Thank you to our wonderful parents for cheering on our players and to those who volunteered to coach and manage teams- we couldn’t do it without you!

Our Year 3 students have been exploring Australia in Geography this term. Over the past few weeks, they’ve researched their chosen state or territory, selected landmarks, and planned how to represent the climate, animals, and landscapes of their region. This week, students proudly made and showcased their dioramas to parents and teachers, explaining their design choices and what they discovered about Australia’s diverse environments. A big well done to all our Year 3 students for their creativity and effort, and thank you to our teachers for guiding this wonderful learning experience.
