OLA students gather to pray the Rosary.
On Monday, 13th October, the students of Our Lady of the Rosary celebrated Rosary Day.
All the school children, staff and some parents gathered in the shape of Rosary beads and prayed the Glorious Mysteries together. Each child received their own set of Rosary beads which were blessed by Fr Joby.
Our thanks go to Mr Baker for organising this day and to Fr Joby for leading us in prayer together. Remember to pray each day to God and Blessed Mary our Mother, in particular the Rosary, for your special intentions and God will provide.

A huge congratulations to our Term 2 'Student of the Term' recipients who were awarded the Principal’s Award today. These students were chosen by their teachers for their hard work, consistent effort, and for living out our Gospel values in how they treat others. They also enjoyed a special morning tea with Mr Calabria and Mr Cauchi, and we are incredibly proud of each of them. A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 4 students on a beautiful Whole School assembly on Friday! Their exploration of Jackie French’s Fire and Drought this term truly came to life through thoughtful reflections, an amazing poem, expressive artworks, and original rhyming stanzas. The creativity on display was inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they shared their learning with our school community! Our Year 5 Faith in Action Team attended the Vinnies Encounter Day at St John Paul II College. Students learned about keeping the “fire of Christ” alive by serving others with a listening heart. They explored the challenges faced by people experiencing hardship and how Vinnies offers a hand‑up to help restore dignity and stability. Our students represented OLA proudly- speaking confidently, sharing our Winter Appeal efforts, and even taking on the Patrician Brothers in a game of handball. Thank you to Mrs Petrocco and Mr Lee for accompanying the group.

On Thursday, we celebrated our Athletics Carnival champions as students were recognised for their achievements, receiving place ribbons, age champion trophies, record‑breaking certificates, and cheering on the House Colour overall winners and Spirit Cup champions.
