Students in each house colour warming up before their walk.
The P and F organised a great Walk-a-thon for the OLA community to be a part.
Students, teachers and parents walked 2.4km around the local Rouse Hill area. Even our Japanese visitors participated in this activity.
We would like to thank our P and F committee, all the parents and grandparents who associated were involved prior and on the day.

We would also like to thank all of the generous OLA families and friends who have sponsored the children to raise money for the school and to the many local businesses for their support in making today a a great success and a special day for our students.

~Prayers Requested for the Calabria Family~ Please continue to keep in your prayers the Calabria family. Mrs Rosa Calabria, Mother of Mr Calabria, sadly passed into eternal life during the holidays. We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Calabria family, and we ask for Christ’s blessings upon them during this difficult time. The Celebration of Life for Mrs Rosa Calabria will be held on Tuesday, 28th April. As a school community, we will come together in prayer to support the Calabria family at Parish Mass at 9:15am on Tuesday, 28th April. All students and staff will gather in our own church as a sign of faith and solidarity. All members of our OLA family are welcome.

Thank you to Mrs Vella, Mrs Hodgess, Ms Bombardiere, and our Year 6 students who led us in a beautiful prayer this morning, acknowledging the significance of ANZAC Day. Thank you to Mr Alex Mangion from the Rooty Hill RSL Sub-Branch, who also joined us (Freya's Grandfather). We remember the sacrifice that many soldiers have made for us, and we pray that the gift of peace, given to us by these brave people, will be treasured for generations to come.

Yesterday, our students gathered for our Alleluia Liturgy, reflecting on the joy of Jesus’ Resurrection in their classrooms. They spent time thinking about what the Resurrection means for us today- hope, new life, and God’s love for everyone. It was a moment of faith, reminding our school community that the risen Jesus walks with us each day.

Year 3 ended their Science unit with an absolute bang! Ranger Jamie visited for a hands‑on Forces Incursion, and our students explored pushes, pulls, friction, and gravity through exciting demonstrations and experiments. Thank you to the Year 3 teachers for organising this!

Our Year 2 students wrapped up the term with a brilliant STEM challenge: How can we get the billy goats safely across to another island? Students explored materials, tested their ideas, and engineered solutions. Such clever little designers!

To finish the term, Year 5 designed and made their own animal adaptations, thinking carefully about how different features help animals live in their environments. They proudly shared their creations with Year 1 and Year 6, who were amazed by the detail and imagination!

To finish the term, Year 4 took on an exciting Design & Make task: building a floating boat. Students experimented with materials, tested buoyancy, and made adjustments to improve their designs. Lots of teamwork, curiosity, and proud smiles as their creations hit the water!
