Students in Years 4-6 listening to our local police liaison officer talk about Cyber Safety.
Recently, students in Year 4 and 5 started their journey of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) allowing them to bring a digital device to school to help enhance their learning.
As part of our practice in educating the students about how to use these devices, Senior Constable Rob Paterson from Castle Hill Police Station was invited to talk to our Years 4-6 students about Cyber Safety and Cyber Bullying.
Here are some of the things we learnt:
We all learnt something new about how to keep safe online. We watched a few clips on bullying and how to stop it from happening. Const. Rob also briefed us on the equipment he used and what they were.

Constable Rob spoke to us about Cyber bullying. I learnt that some forms of social media such as Facebook and Twitter can lead people to send things to someone that are mean and ongoing is a form of cyber bullying. If the police find out you can get into trouble.

Today, on Good Friday, we pause to remember the incredible love and sacrifice shown by Jesus on the cross. This day invites us to slow down, reflect, and hold onto the hope, forgiveness, and faith that Good Friday reminds us of. As we think about the meaning of the cross, may we find a sense of peace and gratitude in our hearts. Wishing our OLA community a blessed and meaningful Good Friday.02 Apr 2026

This week, our K–6 students took part in a beautiful and reverent Holy Week Reflection. Each class helped bring the story of Jesus’ final days to life through prayer, scripture, and quiet reflection. A big thank you to the families who came along and shared this moment with us.
