Eoin and Ella sit among the sea of waving hands for #dosomethinggreat Day
Our Lady of the Angels community supported #Dosomethinggreat Day by making it a day of focus to go beyond the normal and do something extra special in some way – for someone or the world in general.
Year 5 teacher, Samantha Pepin, drove the event. “Students were given a paper hand on which to write what they did. These were stuck onto paddle stick and placed into one of our grassed areas. Collectively they made a sea of hands waving in the wind.”
“It was lovely to see this sight knowing that each waving represented an extra act of kindness by members of our community,” said Mrs La Rocca, principal. “We hope this will provide the impetus for raising awareness to ‘wave a hand’ more readily”.

Year 2 finished the term with a fantastic HSIE excursion to Longneck Lagoon EEC. They learnt about the ways people connect to and care for places, water environments, and each other, using geographical information. It was so much fun!! Thank you to our Year 2 teachers for organising this, and our wonderful parent helpers who joined us and helped on the day!

Today we proudly acknowledged our new Semester 2 SRC members- students chosen by their peers to represent their classes with responsibility and pride. One of the highlights was seeing families join their children on stage as badges were presented. The smiles and pride on every face said it all. Congratulations to our Semester 2 SRC Team!

A huge congratulations to our Term 2 'Student of the Term' recipients who were awarded the Principal’s Award today. These students were chosen by their teachers for their hard work, consistent effort, and for living out our Gospel values in how they treat others. They also enjoyed a special morning tea with Mr Calabria and Mr Cauchi, and we are incredibly proud of each of them. Their kindness, dedication, and positive attitude make our school a better place every day!
