Eoin and Ella sit among the sea of waving hands for #dosomethinggreat Day
Our Lady of the Angels community supported #Dosomethinggreat Day by making it a day of focus to go beyond the normal and do something extra special in some way – for someone or the world in general.
Year 5 teacher, Samantha Pepin, drove the event. “Students were given a paper hand on which to write what they did. These were stuck onto paddle stick and placed into one of our grassed areas. Collectively they made a sea of hands waving in the wind.”
“It was lovely to see this sight knowing that each waving represented an extra act of kindness by members of our community,” said Mrs La Rocca, principal. “We hope this will provide the impetus for raising awareness to ‘wave a hand’ more readily”.

Our Mindful Colouring and Senior Art lunchtime clubs have been busy creating two gingerbread houses for display at North Village Shopping Centre, Kellyville! Students embraced the challenge of sustainability by repurposing scrap paper into recycled sheets, gingerbread men, baubles, and ornaments. They also illustrated what Christmas means to them. Come and see their wonderful creations this festive season at North Village (cnr Hezlett Rd & Samantha Riley Drive) Thank you to Mrs Macare, Miss Ford, and Calissa for coordinating this initiative!
