Eoin and Ella sit among the sea of waving hands for #dosomethinggreat Day
Our Lady of the Angels community supported #Dosomethinggreat Day by making it a day of focus to go beyond the normal and do something extra special in some way – for someone or the world in general.
Year 5 teacher, Samantha Pepin, drove the event. “Students were given a paper hand on which to write what they did. These were stuck onto paddle stick and placed into one of our grassed areas. Collectively they made a sea of hands waving in the wind.”
“It was lovely to see this sight knowing that each waving represented an extra act of kindness by members of our community,” said Mrs La Rocca, principal. “We hope this will provide the impetus for raising awareness to ‘wave a hand’ more readily”.

We farewelled our wonderful Year 6 students as they prepare for the next stage of their journey, and expressed gratitude to Miss Whelan and Mr George for their dedication and service as they move on from our school. We also proudly announced our new leadership team for 2026, who will guide us into another year filled with hope, joy, and growth together. Thank you to everyone involved in such a beautiful celebration!
