Green house captains Jade and Patrick
Once again the Our Lady of the Angels Swimming Carnival was a big success.
While it was a little bit rainy in the morning, but the sun soon came out and the day was lots of fun. We started with the 50m races and were amazed by how many students took part in each event. It was great to see how many students could swim so far and so quickly!
The novelty events made sure that we all got to have a swim, and the noodle races were still really competitive. We finished off the day with the 25m races and saw that lots of people who could have swum the full 50m length of the pool instead of the 25m.
We would like to thank all of the House Captains for all of their hard work and time that they put into making the day a success, coming up with the awesome chants. Every house did an amazing job cheering on their team and they really showed excellent OLA spirit.
Ashley and Montana after their race.
We would like to congratulate all of the students who participated and raced in the many organised events, including the Novelty races. All the students who raced showed great sportsmanship and did an amazing job!
Lastly, the sports captains would like to congratulate all of the students who broke records and all of the children who made it to the Hills Zone Carnival. We wish you all the best of luck!

Year 2 finished the term with a fantastic HSIE excursion to Longneck Lagoon EEC. They learnt about the ways people connect to and care for places, water environments, and each other, using geographical information. It was so much fun!! Thank you to our Year 2 teachers for organising this, and our wonderful parent helpers who joined us and helped on the day!
