STEM at OLA is growing and and climbing in student engagement and activity.
Select teachers have embraced the role to carry out a range of STEM activities each week. The program is targeting Stage 2 students. In this activity, students had the task of making the tallest tower using 32 toothpicks and a small stick of blutac.
'It is clear there are some budding structural engineers in this group," said teacher Kimberly Marchant.
The students are very excited and enthusiastic to be involved in these sessions. I, also, am learning so much along with them.

Last week, our OLA community honoured St Joseph’s Feast Day with beautiful liturgies held in each classroom. Our students reflected on St Joseph’s quiet strength, his faithfulness, and his example of humility and service. It was a special opportunity for them to pause, pray, and learn more about the man who cared for Jesus with such love and devotion. Thank you to our teachers for preparing these meaningful liturgies, and to our students for participating so reverently. St Joseph continues to inspire us to listen, trust, and follow God with open hearts.
