Some of the students in Years 1 to 4 showing off their achievements.
Students in Years 1 to 4 attended the Windsor Function Centre to participate in the Verse Speaking section of the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod, run by the Hawkesbury City Council.
"We had to get on stage and perform two different styles of poems and competed against many schools. It was very nerve racking experience getting on stage and performing our poems to lots of parents, judges and students"said Eoin in Yr 4.
"Even though it was a challenge, it is a very good experience as we learnt how to present poems using expression to deliver our poems and standing up in front a large group of people," added Charli.
Congratulation to Year 1 for their Highly Commended, Year 2 for 2nd Place, Year 3 for 1 st Place and Year 4 for 4th Place.

Yesterday, our school community came together to celebrate Harmony Day at Our Lady of the Angels. It was a beautiful reminder that everyone belongs, and that our differences make us stronger. Through our Gospel values, we teach our students the importance of inclusiveness, respect, and welcoming others with open hearts. Jesus showed love and acceptance to every person He encountered, and we continue to follow His example in the way we learn, play, and care for one another. What a wonderful day to celebrate the rich diversity within our OLA family.21 Mar 2026

Congratulations to our Year 3 students who will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation this weekend. We ask for Christ’s blessings upon them as they receive this life-giving sacrament. May they truly feel the warmth of God's unconditional love and know that He will always forgive them!
