Students in Years 1 to 4 attended the Windsor Function Centre to participate in the Verse Speaking section of the Hawkesbury Eisteddfod, run by the Hawkesbury City Council.
"We had to get on stage and perform two different styles of poems and competed against many schools. It was very nerve racking experience getting on stage and performing our poems to lots of parents, judges and students"said Eoin in Yr 4.
"Even though it was a challenge, it is a very good experience as we learnt how to present poems using expression to deliver our poems and standing up in front a large group of people," added Charli.
Congratulation to Year 1 for their Highly Commended, Year 2 for 2nd Place, Year 3 for 1 st Place and Year 4 for 4th Place.

Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the day such a fun celebration of our national team! The students loved watching the second half of the game at lunchtime, and are so excited that the Socceroos have moved on to the next round!

Last week, Constable Ethan from the Hills Police Area Command visited Our Lady of the Angels and spoke to Years 3-6 students about the importance of online safety and respectful behaviour. The main ideas students were able to take out of the visit were: - Stay safe online - Think before you speak, act, write, or send - Be respectful to others and treat them the way you want to be treated - Help others who may be struggling - Tell a safe adult. We thank Constable Ethan for his time.
