Some of the Year 3 students making fruit kebabs and other treats.
During Term 3, Year 3 have been studying the HSIE unit ‘Who Will Buy’.
Weeks were spent researching and identifying the roles of producers, consumers and the influence of advertisements. At the beginning of September, students walked to Rouse Hill Town Centre in preparation for our Market Day on the following Thursday.
This gave them the opportunity to become the producers of delicious treats and hold their own shop front. It was a complete success, selling out of all products. It was a wonderful way to end our unit, sharing our learning with the whole school.

Thank you to our School Captains, Mason and Olivia, their families, and Mr Calabria, who proudly represented OLA at the Castle Hill RSL Dawn Service this morning. With dignity and respect, they laid a wreath on behalf of our school community to honour the brave men and women who have served our country. On Friday 2nd May at 9am, we will hold an ANZAC Day ceremony lead by Year 6. All are welcome to attend. Lest We Forget
