Another pit stop on our journey around the City.
Year 4 enjoyed a beautiful day in our wonderful city exploring the many historical and important sites in our city.
Teachers, students and parent helpers disembarked their buses at Milson’s Point for the start of their walking tour around this great city of ours. For some students, teachers and parents, it was their first time walking across the Harbour Bridge.
There were many screams, excited squeals and lots of questions about everything they could see. After finishing the first part of their walk, the group made their way to The Rocks were students were shown some of the old buildings and ruins from early settlement.

This was our classroom for the day.
After some photos and exploring of The First Impressions Sculpture we continued our walk towards Circular Quay. It was our first of many resting stops. Following the short break, we went to the Tank Stream, which is a tribute to Sydney Coves’ fresh water supply in the late 18th Century.
Next, we walked to the Opera House and climbed the stairs to investigate the outside of this magnificent building. Students loved the view of the harbour and seeing the small tiles up close. Finally, we stopped for another short break in the Botanical Gardens.
We were on the home stretch after that pit stop. We saw the Conservatorium of Music which we found out were old horse stables, before reaching Hyde Park Barracks. We arrived in time to conclude our walk at St Mary’s Cathedral and participated in Mass. The officiating Priest welcomed the students, teachers and parents and expressed how lovely it was for them to participate in the Mass. Finally, we boarded the bus back to school.
It was a long walk but we all had a wonderful time. Thank you to all the mums and dad who were able to come along with us. We hope you enjoyed yourselves. We certainly did!

Year 2 has been exploring how to take care of creation, learning that our world is a gift from God and that we have a responsibility to protect and respect the environment. As part of this learning, students became eco‑artists, using recycled materials to create artworks inspired by God’s landscapes. This hands‑on project helped them think about reusing resources, reducing waste, and caring for the earth in meaningful, creative ways.29 Mar 2026

Year 1 have been busy investigating the differences between living and non‑living things, and they put their learning into action by designing and making their very own bird feeders. Students thought carefully about what birds need to survive and created feeders that would help meet those needs in our school environment. It was wonderful to see so many creative ideas come to life, and even more special to have siblings visit to see the showcase. Thank you to everyone who supported the students with ideas, equipment, encouragement, and enthusiasm!
