OLA student, Paige Cunneen, with her trophies and powerboat.
Year 6 student, Paige Cunneen, has only had a short career in Powerboat Racing but has already proven to be a great talent.
Having been competing only since the beginning of this year, Paige recently competed in the final round of the 2014-2015 series which was held at Port Macquarie and came away from the round with a first place trophy and sponsorship for the 2015-2016 season.
She also placed 3rd in the NSW State Championship. Paige is now preparing to compete in the 2015-2016 Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix.

A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 4 students on a beautiful Whole School assembly on Friday! Their exploration of Jackie French’s Fire and Drought this term truly came to life through thoughtful reflections, an amazing poem, expressive artworks, and original rhyming stanzas. The creativity on display was inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they shared their learning with our school community! Our Year 5 Faith in Action Team attended the Vinnies Encounter Day at St John Paul II College. Students learned about keeping the “fire of Christ” alive by serving others with a listening heart. They explored the challenges faced by people experiencing hardship and how Vinnies offers a hand‑up to help restore dignity and stability. Our students represented OLA proudly- speaking confidently, sharing our Winter Appeal efforts, and even taking on the Patrician Brothers in a game of handball. Thank you to Mrs Petrocco and Mr Lee for accompanying the group.

On Thursday, we celebrated our Athletics Carnival champions as students were recognised for their achievements, receiving place ribbons, age champion trophies, record‑breaking certificates, and cheering on the House Colour overall winners and Spirit Cup champions.
