Year One went on an excursion to Taronga Zoo.
Whilst at the zoo, the students gained a deep knowledge and insight about different living animals and the ways in which their needs are met by adapting to their habitats.
They also learnt a few interesting animal facts.It was truly a day of fun and learning!

What a fantastic day for our Athletics Carnival on Tuesday — beautiful Winter weather, amazing achievements, and great sportsmanship on display made it a day to remember! A big thank you to our parent helpers, teachers, spectators and especially Mrs Batten for organising such a smooth and fun-filled event. We’re also incredibly grateful to the Marian Catholic College Kenthurst students who came along to assist throughout the day—your help made a huge difference! And a special congratulations to the teachers who finally took the win in the student vs parent vs teacher relay! They haven't won this race for a very long time!! Well done to all our students for their energy, effort, and team spirit!

Last week, Uncle Ted Langford from the Jarara Team at Catholic Schools, Parramatta Diocese, came to visit and lead a few of our students in a ‘Yarning Circle’. They discussed the many countries that comprise the map of Indigenous Australia, as well as the symbolism in art and song. They also looked at different tools as well as the importance of storytelling.

Today, we celebrate Pentecost, a special time in our Church when we remember the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples. On Friday, our students gathered for a beautiful liturgy and prayed, sang, and reflected on how we can be people of courage, kindness, and faith, just like the disciples were. Thank you to our staff and students for making the liturgy so meaningful. A special thank you to Mr. Lee and the FIAT team, and to the parents who joined us and spoke in their native languages, just as the disciples spoke in many tongues when the Holy Spirit came upon them. Come, Holy Spirit!

Year 5 are back home safely after a wonderful time at camp. They’ve had 2 days of experiencing fun times, leadership, bravery and encouragement with their peers, all while making memories that will last forever. Their behaviour was outstanding and participation was superb, the teachers were very proud of them! Thank you to the Year 5 parents for your support and to the Year 5 teachers who organised such a wonderful experience! A big thank you to Mr Cauchi, Mr Campbell, Mrs Grunsell, Miss Marchant and Mrs Vella for taking time away from their families to accompany the students at camp. We are sure everyone will sleep well tonight! Teen Ranch we had a blast, thank you for having us! We can’t wait to come back again next year 🏕️

Our bellies are full from lunch and our faces are smiling with happiness! We have just left camp and our estimated time of arrival is still 2.30pm. All Year 5 parents are welcome to pick up their children from school early to avoid the normal afternoon dismissal traffic. If you are not able to, students will be dismissed at the regular time of 3.10pm 😊

Year 5 will be leaving camp at approximately 1pm this afternoon. Our anticipated arrival time will be 2.30pm and parents will be invited to come and pick their children up early to avoid the afternoon pick up congestion! We will keep you updated later in the day on our arrival time 😊
